In the wake of a hard-fought victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last Friday, BC Lions quarterback Kevin Glenn has earned Offensive Player of the Week honours as announced by the CFL this morning. The veteran pivot led the Lions’ offence with 407 passing yards on 22 completions as well as a 19-yard dash for a major in the first quarter of the club’s 36-29 win.
The lofty total of 407 passing yards last week pushed Glenn’s career total to 41,215 to go along with his 40th career 300-yard passing game and his seventh 400-yard performance. This year, the veteran pivot moved past Tracy Ham into ninth spot all-time in CFL passing yardage and to within 140 yards of former BC Lion Doug Flutie (41,355 yards).
The win last Friday came in Kevin’s 161st CFL start and elevated his career record to 85-75-1, including four victories for the Leos in club’s last five games. He also recently eclipsed 5,000 career pass attempts and has now thrown 230 touchdown passes.
