The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that return specialist Tim Brown has been named the CFL’s Special Teams Player of the Month for August.
Brown was a coverage team’s nightmare with spectacular performances versus Toronto and Saskatchewan which earned the speedy tailback back-to-back Player of the Week honours.
His combined efforts in those two games alone resulted in 17 punt returns for 307 yards including a 75-yard touchdown return to go along with seven kickoff returns for another 219 yards.
Incredibly, with just three appearances this season, Brown is alone atop the punt return charts with 353 yards and eighth among kickoff return men with 272 yards.
