Adam returned to the Lions as a free agent on February 11, 2025. His first stint with the club began as a free agent addition in May 2019 during training camp in Kamloops.
2024: Konar moved south to the Calgary Stampeders and played 17 games while recording three defensive tackles and seven special teams stops. Recorded a season-high three special teams tackles in a week four victory over Winnipeg.
2022-23: Adam returned to the Elks as a free agent ahead of the 2022 campaign and started all 18 games at linebacker while finishing third on the team with 69 defensive plays and adding 52 tackles, three tackles for a loss, two sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and four pass breakups. The 2023 campaign saw the veteran record a career-high 73 defensive tackles while he suited up in his 100th career regular season game in week 20 against Montreal.
2021: Suited up in all 14 regular season games in the shortened 2021 season while racking up six defensive tackles, 13 special teams stops and one sack.
2019: Following his release from Edmonton, Adam joined the Lions early in 2019 training camp and went on to appear in seven games with six defensive tackles and eight special teams stops.
2015-18: Adam was selected in round three (25th overall) by Edmonton in the 2015 CFL Draft. In his first stint with the green and gold, he suited up in 28 games and racked up 84 defensive tackles, ten special teams tackles, two sacks, three interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles.
College/Junior:
2013-14: Adam joined the University of Calgary Dinos and recovered from a torn ACL that kept him out of the 2013 season to earn All-Canadian honours in his final year.
2012: Suited up for one season with the Langley Rams of BCFC.
2011: Adam played his first season of eligibility with the UBC Thunderbirds.
Personal:
Konar is an alumnus of Vancouver College and was the Provincial championship game’s MVP in 2010 when the Fighting Irish took down Terry Fox. His father Kevin suited up as a linebacker for the Lions from 1989-89 and was a Grey Cup champion in 1985.
