Chris was signed as a free agent by the Lions in February 2023 and inked a one-year extension with the team on January 31, 2025.

Highlights:

2024: Chris’s third season in black and orange saw nine starts- six at left guard, three at left tackle- in 2024. Schleuger and company helped the Lions rack up 482 yards of net offence in a week five win in Hamilton while Justin McInnis recorded 243 receiving yards in the next victory over Saskatchewan.

2023: In his first season with the Lions, Chris started one game at left tackle during Week 11 playing against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

2022: Chris signed a one-year contract extension with the Montreal Alouettes on Feb. 7, 2022. He suited up in six contests later that season.

2021: Chris appeared in three games for the Montreal Alouettes.

2019: Chris signed with the Montreal Alouettes. During his first season in the CFL, Chris played 13 games for Montreal and suited up in the Eastern Semi-final against Edmonton.

2018: Chris signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent. Following his release, Chris signed with the Birmingham Iron in the Alliance of American Football league. He was then signed to the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice squad in September 2018.

College:

Chris enrolled at Iowa Western Community College right out of high school for one year and then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa where he started eight games at left tackle. The following year, Chris decided to enter the transfer portal again to join the University of Alabama-Birmingham for two seasons, where he started 12 games at left guard and helped the Blazers to a Bahamas Bowl appearance in 2017.
