2021: Started all 14 regular season games at centre and was instrumental in the Bombers leading the CFL in scoring, finishing second overall in rushing and allowing the least amount of quarterback sacks. Earned a second Grey Cup ring when the Bombers took down Hamilton in the big game on December 12. Honoured for his fine body of work with a CFLPA All-Star selection to cap off the season.

2019: Michael entered his fourth season with the Bombers as the starting centre following Matthias Goosen’s retirement. Couture and the offensive line helped Andrew Harris capture his third straight CFL rushing title. Michael suffered an injury in week 20 against Calgary and was unable to dress for the Bombers’ playoff run which ended with the club’s first Grey Cup championship since 1990.

2018: Made his first career start in the Banjo Bowl against Saskatchewan and had another in the regular season finale against Edmonton. Suited up in all 18 contests to extend his streak to 54 to begin his career.

2017: Michael once again appeared in all 18 regular season games and suited up in the Western Semi-Final loss to Edmonton.

2016:  Selected in round two (10th overall) by Winnipeg in the 2016 CFL Draft, Couture dressed in all 18 regular season games as a rookie and made his playoff debut in the Western Semi-Final loss to the Lions at BC Place.

2012-15: Michael attended Simon Fraser University and started 36 games while playing four different positions on the offensive line. He was voted a Great Northwest Athletic Conference 1st Team All-Star as a centre in 2014 and then as a tackle in 2015.
