He’s one of the CFL’s hottest receivers right now having hauled in 20 passes for a lofty 438 yards and two touchdowns during the month of October. Even greater numbers when you consider they were compiled over just three games for third-year Lion Ernest Jackson as he earns Offensive Player of the Month honours as announced by the Canadian Football League this morning.
Jackson’s 44 receptions and 736 yards to date are already career-highs for the University of Buffalo grad as was his 195-yard receiving performance versus the Ottawa REDBLACKS back on October 11, including a 60-yard sprint to the endzone. The athletic wideout more than doubled his receiving yards on the year with sensational outings versus Ottawa, Hamilton and Winnipeg ringing-up tallies of 94, 195 and 149 yards respectively in that time.
The Lions hit the practice field again today in preparation for their game in Edmonton versus the second-place Eskimos on Saturday, November 1st and are back at BC Place for their final regular-season game Friday, November 7th when the Stampeders are in town.
