BC Lions Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the Indian residential school survivors, their families, and communities, while reminding us that Every Child Matters. The BC Lions are proud to stand alongside Indigenous communities, the Orange Shirt Society, the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS), and our partners in advancing truth, healing, and reconciliation.
We believe in the power of sport to bring people together, foster understanding, and create meaningful pathways toward reconciliation.
Through our Orange Shirt Day game and community initiatives, we remain committed to raising awareness, honouring Survivors, and supporting future generations. We invite our fans to wear orange, learn the truth about residential schools, and join us in taking meaningful action. Together, we can build a future rooted in respect, understanding, and reconciliation because Every Child Matters.
