The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that linebacker Solomon Elimimian and offensive tackle Jovan Olafioye have been selected as 2014 CFL All-Stars.

For Elimimian, the honour comes a week after being named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player and Most Outstanding Defensive Player making him the most decorated player in the CFL this season, with 143 defensive tackles and five sacks. This is also Solomon’s second career selection as a CFL All-Star.

Veteran offensive tackle Jovan Olafioye picks up his fourth consecutive nod as a CFL All-Star after another standout season along the offensive line. The Detroit native has never missed a start over five years and ninety regular season games.  Anchoring the line from his right tackle spot, Olafioye helped the Leos to establish two running backs in the CFL’s top 10 this past season and the league’s second-ranked passer.

This marks the 52nd year in which the CFL has recognized its best with the All-Star distinction. In total, 62 voters from the Football Reporters of Canada as well as head coaches from all nine teams selected the 26 CFL All-Stars.
