The BC Lions Football Club announced this afternoon that defensive lineman Eric Taylor and running back Stefan Logan have been released by the team.

“We’re grateful for the contributions of both Eric and Stefan and we wish them the best in their future plans,” said VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono.

Taylor appeared in 57 regular season games over four seasons with the Lions recording 107 defensive tackles and 13 sacks. Logan dressed for 14 games in 2014 and a total of 29 games for his Lions career.

The club also announced that defensive linemen Marcus Dixon and Zach Minter have signed with the Lions while former practice roster players Bradley Randle (RB) and Chris Olson (DE) have been released.

Dixon was a late season addition of the club during its annual practice roster expansion period and appeared in the Lions’ final regular season game in 2014.

Minter was originally an undrafted free agent signing of the Chicago Bears in 2013 and made one regular season appearance before being released and eventually making training camp stops in Cincinnati and Dallas in 2014. With just one practice under his belt in preseason, Minter was a terror for the Cowboys recording four tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, a quarterback hurry and a forced fumble versus Baltimore.
