The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that international quarterback Jonathon Jennings and has signed with the team.
Jennings joins the Lions following an exceptional four-year collegiate career at Saginaw Valley State where he threw for 10,710 yards and 96 touchdowns on 799 career completions. The Ohio native was the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Player of the Year in 2013 following a noteworthy senior campaign completing 220 passes for 3,284 yards and a conference-leading 31 majors. Jennings attended a free agent camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last year and also had short stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.
The newly-signed Jennings will make his Lions debut two weeks from today as the club prepares for a three-day passing camp slated for April 27th to 29th at Cloverdale Athletic Park (6410-168 street, Surrey).
