The BC Lions announced this morning that international receiver A.C. Leonard and Canadian kicker Steven Shott have signed with the club.
Leonard comes to the Lions following a training camp stint with the Minnesota Vikings in 2014. The former Tennessee State Tigers appeared in 22 games tallying 85 receptions for 1,174 yards and 11 touchdowns in his final two years earning College Football Performance Award’s Tight End of the Year kudos in 2012 and 2013 as well as an FCS All-America nod in 2012.
Shott, a standout junior kicker returns for another audition with the club after attending training camp three times as a member of the BCFC’s Okanagan Sun (2010, 2012 and 2013) and last year as a free agent. The Vancouver native spent the 2014 season with the Windsor Fratmen of the Ontario Football Conference.
Both Leonard and Shott will be on the field this morning as the Lions host an offensive mini-camp through Wednesday, April 29th at the Cloverdale Athletic Grounds (6410-168 Street, Surrey)
