Lions agree to terms with QB Aaron Wilmer

The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that they have agreed to terms on a contract with quarterback Aaron Wilmer.

A four-year starter at Delaware Valley University, Wilmer was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection including his senior season in 2014 where he threw for 3,228 yards on 185 completions including a school-record 30 touchdowns.

The Philadelphia native departed the Aggies program with 10,157 passing yards on 692 completions and 84 touchdowns, the second-best career totals in Delaware Valley history.  

“Aaron has a very strong arm and his athleticism is well-suited to our game,” said VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono. “His signing not only demonstrates the value of our free agent camps but also the kind of competition we are creating at all positions heading into the season.”

Prior to impressing the club’s player personnel staff at a recent free agent camp in Washington, D.C., the talented and mobile pivot who also racked up 1,638 career rushing yards was a free agent mini-camp invitee of the Philadelphia Eagles in Apri
