The BC Lions announced today announced they have signed international receivers Micah Hatfield and Rickey Galvin. Both players enjoyed notable performances at the club’s Seattle free agent camp two weeks ago.
Hatfield was an undrafted free agent signing of the San Diego Chargers in 2014 after spending four years at Oregon State. The Oregon native appeared in 32 games for the Beavers recording 20 receptions for 234 yards and four majors.
Galvin joins the Leos after a productive four-year stay at Washington State where he made 21 starts and piled-up 113 career receptions for 1,021 yards and eight touchdowns. The versatile offensive weapon also added 116 career carries for 604 yards and five touchdowns and returned 19 punts for 148 yards along with 24 kickoff returns for 537 yards.
Both players will arrive at the Lions’ Surrey practice facility later today and hit the field with fellow first-year Leos in Kamloops for a mini-camp beginning on Thursday, May 28.
BC Lions Training Camp presented by Sun Peaks Resort begins on Sunday, June 1 in Kamloops, BC.
