Training Camp Report: Day 4

Michiko Araki

Day four of Training Camp started bright and early at 8:30am for a full padded practice at Hillside Stadium. After breaking for lunch at 11:00am, the players had a two hour practice in rainy conditions.

Rain poured down for the entire day, but the players were able to showcase some great moves during the 1-on-1 and team sessions. Here are the players who stood out at practice:

Offence:

On the offensive side, receivers Courtney Taylor and Manny Arceneaux had some great catches down field and effectively ran routes to get themselves open. During team, both caught for sure touchdowns while Manny had a great catch high in the air for an impressive play.

Jonathon Jennings also showcased his ability to remain composed during team, as he was frequently put under pressure by the defensive line. Regardless, he was able to connect with several players for passes and was quick to run up the field when there were no pass openings.

Defence:

David Menard showcased his power and strength once again at practice as he showed great bull rushing techniques to break the offensive line during team. Michael Brooks was also excellent during 1-on-1 drills, remaining steady on his feet and getting a good base under him.

During team, T.J. Lee and Darious Lane both had impressive knockdowns and showed great positioning on the field.

Watching:

Keola Antolin (leg), Shaquille Murray-Lawrence (leg), Bibake Uppal (leg), Lavelle Hawkins (arm), Micah Hatfield (leg), Jabar Westerman, Ese Mrabure-Ajufo, Kaycee Ike
