BC Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian suffered a torn Achilles tendon in last night’s game versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He will undergo a procedure later this week to repair the injury and will be placed on the club’s six-game injured list.
Elimimian became the first defensive player in CFL history to win Most Outstanding Player in 2014 after setting the single-season record with 143 tackles. He added five sacks, an interception and three fumble recoveries.
The reigning MOP currently sits at the number two spot in tackles with 44 behind team mate Adam Bighill who has 52.
Want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers! Especially my teammates. Great things come from adverse situations! #BCLions #GoLions
