The BC Lions (7-10) play host to the Calgary Stampeders (13-4) on Saturday afternoon at BC Place. Fans across BC and those heading down to the game can tune into the TSN 1040 pregame show starting at 2:30 pm.
The Lions put together a pair of key victories over the past two weeks and in the process, clinched their 19th consecutive postseason berth. With Calgary being relegated to second spot in the West Division, Saturday’s game at BC Place will be a playoff primer for both clubs as they look to build momentum heading into next week’s Western Semi-Final in Calgary.
With Remembrance Day just a week away, the Lions are honoured to pay tribute to our armed forces personnel with Saturday’s Salute to Veterans. Fans attending the game are encouraged to remain in their seats during halftime to acknowledge these distinguished men and women.
Saturday’s regular season finale is also the club’s annual Fan Appreciation game and the Lions are pleased to provide everyone in attendance with an 18 x 24 team poster courtesy of Kinetica Print. Posters will be distributed as fans exit the stadium postgame.
We’ll also be hosting a Fan Tunnel where select fans will have a chance to run onto the field with the team as they make their final entrance on the BC Place turf for the 2015 season. Saturday is all about you, the fans, and we’re expanding the captains for the night! 50 lucky fans will join us on the field for the coin toss, and we’ll have a special fan message from Ryan Phillips to start the game.
To get you ready for all the action on the field, Christie Buono will tap into the football expertise of former Leos Brent Johnson, Tom Europe and Davis Sanchez as part of the pre-game panel.
Speaking of Lions greats, the club will also take time out to recognize former team quarterback and current Calgary Stampeders offensive coordinator Dave Dickenson who was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame earlier this year.
