The BC Lions Football Club announced today that next Thursday’s Waterboys Breakfast at the Vancouver International Auto Show is fully booked with 150 members and guests excited at the opportunity to hear from team owner David Braley, GM and head coach Wally Buono, members of the Lions’ coaching staff and scouting department as well as a number of current players about preparations for the 2016 CFL season.
“This is one of the most popular Waterboys gatherings of the year and a great way to kick off the season,” said Moray Keith, one of the group’s founding members and President of the Dueck Auto Group. “The Lions brand is incredibly strong in the business community and I know there is a renewed spirit of anticipation for the coming season among our members.”
Created by the late Bob Ackles upon his return to the club in 2003, the Waterboys are a dynamic group of business ambassadors who share their valuable acumen with the Lions and cultivate support from potential corporate partners and fans in the community.
