The BC Lions Football Club today announced the signing of international linebacker Justin Anderson.
Anderson was an undrafted free agent signing of the New York Giants in 2014 and saw act
ion in a pair of games that year. He also spent time in Minnesota, Dallas and New Orleans before signing with the Lions following an impressive free agent camp audition in New Orleans earlier this month.
The former Ragin’ Cajun who appeared in 31 games over four years at Louisiana-Lafayette tallied 169 career tackles and 3.5 sacks. As a senior in 2013, his 77 tackles of which 11 were for a loss earned him an All-Sunbelt Conference selection.
Anderson will get his first taste of CFL action tomorrow as approximately 30 Lions hit the field for a two-day mini-camp at the club’s practice facility in Surrey.
