The BC Lions Football Club today announced that international receiver Deon Long has re-signed with the team and free agent wide-out David Richards has also been added.
Long (6’0”, 192) was originally signed by the Lions in 2016 as part of the CFL’s annual practice roster expansion p
eriod and became a free agent at the conclusion of the season. The Washington, D.C. native had previously spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles before making his way to the Leos.
Richards (6’2”, 215) enjoyed a notable collegiate career at Arizona where he appeared in 48 games for the Wildcats over four seasons recording 110 receptions for 1,205 yards and 11 majors. The California resident spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns before attending training camp with the Los Angeles Rams in 2016.
