Why are the BC Lions playing their preseason game away from BC Place?

This game is part of the BC Lions commitment to bring the excitement of the CFL game to different communities across our great province. We will continue to host our Training Camp in Kamloops, BC and will have our Pre-Season Game in Langford on Vancouver Island.

Where will the preseason game be played?

The Game will be hosted at Starlight Stadium in Langford, BC on Vancouver Island.

What is the seating capacity of the venue?

The venue holds approximately 6,100 fans.

Will the field meet CFL standards?

Yes, the field will be set up to meet CFL regulations.

Why aren’t you playing at Royal Athletic Park like you did for Touchdown Pacific?

The CFL and BC Lions chose RAP as part of the CFL’s Touchdown Series. We’re excited to play at Starlight, which has hosted the National teams of both Men’s and Women’s Rugby and Soccer, is home to the Canadian Junior Football’s Westshore Rebels, and the CPL’s Pacific FC.

How can I buy tickets for the game?

Tickets will go on sale on to the public Tuesday, March 11th through Ticketmaster.ca or at BCLIONS.COM.

Will BC Lions season ticket holders get priority access?

Season ticket holders will receive priority access to tickets for this game.

Are there VIP or hospitality packages available?

Yes, there are a few options. Starlight Stadium has 18 beautiful private suites that hold 15-25 people. Please call 604.589.ROAR for information on premium suites for the game.

Also available is the Touchdown Club. This package includes one General Admission ticket, unlimited food and non-alcoholic drinks, and three alcoholic drinks (with more alcoholic drinks available for purchase). Will there be a fan festival or tailgating before the game?

Join us at the Backyard Party presented by PlayNow, where you’ll find music, face painting & other fun activities for the kids, food hot off the grill, and ice cold beverages. Look out for the BC Lions Merchandise Truck to get your Lions gear. The Backyard will be located just inside the gates near Gate B, and begins at 11:00AM.

Will the game be televised or available for streaming?

The game will stream on CFL+.

Will radio coverage be available?

Yes, the game will be available on 730 CKNW, Lions Football Punjabi and across the province on the Lions Audio Network.

Are there special BC Ferry sailings?

As this is a 1:00PM game, for those wanting to go over for the game and back in the same day, BC Ferries regular sailings will accommodate that. We do suggest making a reservation early to ensure your spot.
