C.J. was signed as a free agent by the Lions on April 16, 2026.

Highlights:

2025: C.J.  started 17 games at cornerback for Ottawa, making 55 defensive tackles, three interceptions and one forced fumble.

2024: C.J. signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and was with the team for training camp. Signed with the Ottawa REDBLACKS in September and appeared in one game, making seven tackles and forcing a fumble.

2023: Signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a non-drafted free agent. After training camp, C.J. was assigned to the practice roster and remained there until November.

College:

2022: Transferred to Oklahoma for his senior season, earning All- Big 12 honourable mention after recording 43 total tackles (25 solo, 18 assisted), ten pass breakups and four interceptions in 12 contests.

2018-21: C.J. began his college career at Wyoming, racking up 112 total tackles (78 solo, 34 assisted), 6.5 tackles for a loss, 17 pass breakups, two interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries.
