(Vancouver)- On the heels of another stellar performance that resulted in a critical divisional road win for the resurgent BC Lions, running back Zander Horvath was named one of the CFL Players of the Week.
In addition to racking up 102 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, the versatile back hauled in three receptions for 32 yards, 20 of those coming after the catch.
Horvath has registered 355 rushing yards during the Lions’ three-game winning streak and has 11 touchdowns on the season (eight rushing, three receiving), which ties him with Saskatchewan’s Tommy Stevens for the league lead. It’s also Horvath’s second Player of the Week honour in three games.
Edmonton defensive back J.J. Ross and quarterback Cody Fajardo rounded out the Top Performers for Week 12.
